Why this particular business concept?
The owner of the yacht, Helge Henriksen, has always had great enthusiasm for the seafaring way of life. He has a particular passion for the beauty of the coastal scenery of Norway. No other company currently offers a comparable way of experiencing the Oslo fjord and its islands, so this naturally augers well for this kind of business venture.
Helge Henriksen was born and raised in Oslo, but he comes from a seafaring family from the south of Norway, who for generations have had strong ties with the sea and made their living from it. This shipping background, together with his love of the sea, are the driving forces behind the establishment of the company Betine Yachting Ltd.. Helge truly believes that Norway can be seen at its best from a sea trip.
Betine Yachting has been lucky enough to find the right people dedicated to running the business with enthusiasm. They all take pride in giving the very best service, and aim to make this a “trip-of-a-lifetime” for all our guests.
Managing director Anna Malmberg has previously worked with chartered boats, in the hotel industry and in business development in the Lofoten region of Norway, so she has the right background experience for this kind of job, always putting the guests first and giving them the very best service.
Captain Remi Malmberg has 12 years of experience in the yachting industry as a captain both in Norway and abroad. He has also served as an officer on board ships on North Sea crossings, and is therefore well acquainted with Norwegian coastal areas. He has all the required qualifications and certificates as specified by the Norwegian Directorate of Shipping and Navigation, so our guests can truly feel safe in his hands!
Last but not least, our waiters and crew are all experienced sailors, with the requisite health and safety qualifications. They all have a great love of the sea, essential for anyone working with Betine Yachting Ltd. This is important if the company is to deliver a product that lives up to its philosophy and which gives our guests the very best service possible. All our crew are determined to ensure that our guests truly have a “trip of a life time”.
